Description
A watercolor painting of two American Hollys. The written notation by the holly in the top left indicates that a description of the plant is on page 305 of Asa Gray's Manual of Botany. It was sent by a Mr A.O. Smith from Cohasset, Massachusetts in June 1888. The written notation by the other holly indicates that it was sent by a Mrs. Procter from Cincinnati, Ohio on Christmas in 1890.
